The September High Line Marathon has quickly become a favorite session at the school. The Park affords striking views of the Hudson River, Chelsea architecture, and the streets below. Students work in various media, graphite, charcoal, and watercolor, directly from their experiences in the park. Then, in the ateliers on 8th Street, students explore spatial and conceptual ideas from their experiences in the park. Jim Plunkett and Joe Santore are the instructors.
